This well-manicured garden, west of Bangkok, was formerly known as the Rose Garden Riverside. Here visitors can walk or cycle through the lush greenery, take a boat ride on the river, swim and even play tennis. A tour of the Organic Farm offers visitors a chance to learn about traditional Thai farming methods and buy some of the produce. However, the chief attraction for visitors is the daily show of culture. Packed into the one-hour show are traditional Thai dancing, ancient sword fighting, a Thai wedding, the ordination of a monk and Thai boxing. The model Thai village within the grounds is a showcase for fruit-carving, basket weaving, and other crafts.

Farther west, on the way to Nakhon Pathom, the Thai Human Imagery Museum has fiberglass statues of historical Thai figures, including the Chakri kings (see pp68–9) and some renowned monks.
